How do Sterilising Hand Dryers Work?Sterilising hand dryers use UVC light in different forms to purify the air removing bacteria and viruses from the air. The UVC light interacts with the virus envelope or bacteria cell wall disrupting it and breaking it down. In some hand dryers the UVC light also interacts with Titanium plates to create Titanium Dioxide, superoxide ions and plasma. The effect of this to sterilise not just the air passing through the hand dryer but also the air and surfaces within the room. |  |
